AudioKiwi
Anyone have experience with Coincident speakers? They seem to review well on the net - but the "mainstream" audio media seem to ignore them. A bit out of my price range but interesting... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=397592983
Guest Guest
Morning DC, I've heard them at shows here in the US I personally wouldn't rate them above average-I'd put them in the same boat as DeVore, Zu, YG, etc. On the US side The Green Mountains and the UK ProAc Carbons would eat all the above for Breakfast. Good listening, Des

Good listening, Des hmmm interesting. I wonder why the reviews they get are so "breathless" - I mean some reviewers go gaga for them...
KevinO
Could it be just as simple as the fact that shows probably aren't the best place to do serious evaluations of gear ?
Owen Y
Loudspeakers probably elicit more variation in listener response than any other hifi component. Spkrs, technically, prob (still) have more distortion than any other hifi component.
Owen Y
PS. Des, those Green Mountains are interesting, thinking outside the box indeed.
Electra
Having heard these ( possibly the exact same ones? ) speakers, I echo what Des W has said about 'em. They also dont like to be played very loud. Whilst volume may not matter to some, they are still more expensive than the sound quality that they represent overall, and for rock, well.... I would buy elsewhere.
AudioKiwi
Two votes for average I was interested in their ability to work with SET amps but it seems they are to good to be true...
