wadiaman
Hope this works. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/24525843@N05/4892696166/" title="Yamamoto HA-02 & Alessandro MS2 by Wadiaman, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4081/4892696166_44e4428cdf_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="Yamamoto HA-02 & Alessandro MS2"></a> I have different stuff (Benchmark DAC-1 USB) but the Yamamoto is a keeper... The Alessandro's less so... Edited November 11, 2013 by wadiaman
htm_1968
I've usually just used headphones with my iPod or office setup, where some bog standard Sennheisers do the job. However things have changed quite a bit in the home rig since Christmas! A new set of Stax SR-307 Cans received as a Xmas present from Mrs HTM . I really like the new Stax range, it does everything the old range did, but with a bit more oomph in the bass. The kids provided the stand which was great. The accompanying "SRM 323S driver unit for earspeakers", or headphone amp to normal folks. The only complaint I have is that there is no mark on the volume control that I can see, which means that I need to be very cautious about the first track I listen to.

htm_1968
Yep, it shows up in the photo but is next to bloody invisible for practical usage. Great headphones though....sorry earspeakers .
Warren M.
Coming soon: Cymer (Elson Silva) push-pull valve dual output headphone amp (30 Ohms and 300Ohms for my AKG 701 and Sennheiser HD650 phones respectively) built into a very flexible line-level preamp. Preamp and headphone amp cohabit the same box, with power supply in a separate box. Photos when installed (hopefully late January or sooner). ELYAS
While i realise there is the showcase forum i thought it would be a nice idea to start a thread here in the headphone forum for members to post up pictures of their headphone systems. Ill start with mine, nothing to special given my love for speakers. Just a Sony CDP XE200 into the G&W TW-J1 headphone amplifier, interconnects are JIB Premium interconnects. Headphones are Audio-Technica ES7's or AKG 240 studio's. Great for late night listening (shared house) Come on guys, show us you headphones setups :popcorn NWA - Greatest Hits..... WOW, did that just bring back some of my teenage delinquent memories.

drez
Music server PC using Dimastech testbench case. Hardware is Ivy Bridge Intel 3770K with Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe and Corsair 1866 Platinum Dominator ram, and running a few SSD drives all powered by a Corsair AX1200 PSU. Operating system is Windows Server 2012 running HighEndAudioPC's optimisations and JRiver 19. I took the graphics card (Asus DirectCU II GTX 680 with Prolimatech mk23 and Noctua NFS-12A PWM fans) off as this seems to sound better. USB transport below that is Bel Canto Reflink. USB and AES cables are Wireworld Platinum. DAC is AudioGD NFB732 which is their Sabre DAC. The preamp/headphone amplifier is their Master 6. Analog IC's are DIY using Litz copper in cotton. Power cables are also DIY using mostly Neotech parts. The rack is TAOC's ASR II, and the isolation feet are mostly VALAB ball bearing feet which are pretty cheap and cheerful but will do for now. Headphones are Sennheiser HD800 with Q Audio copper litz cable. The system still has a way to go - there are still some things that don't quite sound 100% but overall sound is pretty decent - more on the neutral/analytical sound without being harsh. Jsgraha
That's really nice hd800 setup. The music server looks like something from The Transformer. Are those sata cables from ppa? Edited February 3, 2014 by Jsgraha

kunalraiker
Nothing special at all compared to the rest of you but to me it's just great It look awesome buddy, can you give us some more information on the equipment and how it sounds. CryptiK
Thanks It's a really simple setup with a small footprint. The headphone setup is foobar as the source. That runs via USB into the Burson Conductor (Sabre DAC, Preamp and Headamp all-in-one) which has the upgraded CM6631A USB module. The headphones are Denon D7000's, unmodified. For 2-channel listening the Conductor's preouts run into the Burson Timekeeper (80wpc) and this drives a pair of B&W 685's on 90cm stands filled with clay. The sound of both speakers and headphones is really nice (in my opinion). I aim for transparent, fun and easy to listen to, and I think both pretty much succeed and I'm really happy with it considering the budget I had for it. I'm no reviewer nor am I great at audiohpile adjectives, so I can't say much more than that.
