According to "1 watt is 1 watt", all amp should be the same. :-(

To Kaka,

Yes, it was yours. :-)

I did compare it with M16 side by side in my system but there's slight difference only.

M16 wins in terms of texture of instrument.

I don't agree with the legend which is that M16 is worth to own for life, not even close...

But I do believe SA250MK4 is the one worth to own for many years, however I can not find any 250 recently when my budget get approved...

I yam going to be landing in Nebada...:D! Indeed you folks are a riot so I just had to pitch in. My PG was also breathed on by Saint GM. Love my M16/SA100mk3 gear. Sounds delicious for my 1944 ears. We are all so doggone irreverently (sp) respectful! Alejandro needs a turntable.

The SA103 is pretty amazing also. Darn it I should never have borrowed it a few weeks ago - I may never be content again.:(

But Aaron , that's what they do , the bastards :D( I'm assuming in your case , a certain merkin fitter).Just let you borrow a bit of kit ,"just so you can see what's it's like" , knowing full well you'll love it .YOu lose sleep , weight and the missus is thoroughly sick of the moping and sulking around the house until , finally " Oh go and get the bloody thing if it means that much .."

Response: "Thanks dear , but only seeing as you insist"

Dealer , lets call him Lien , starts reeling in the large fish he's had dangling for a few weeks then with an evil grin and cackle goes "Got him !!"

Only pure supposition , of course ;)

Aaron you ain't the only fish he is playing. He is fishing with a multi hook rig. But you know you want it and won't be content till you get it. And besides you owe it to those SFs.

It's the pair of them, his mate, Brendon, was the one who so kindly offered me the loan for the fatefull weekend.

"The only way you will ever know what it can do is to take it and try it'.

I thought he was doing me a huge favour.

Until the thing warmed up in Class A and the previously hidden true talent of the Guarneris emerged.

The sound was massive, full and weighty with incredible delicacy at the same time.

Sorry Hopeman, I'm hijacking your thread - but I'd recommend looking at the SA103 / 102 with your dyns, they may not need the full SA250.

I mean, the Arcams are 175W / 8ohms compared to the SA103's 125W yet they were outclassed.

No worry, aarond.

But I think SA103/102 is far over my budget as 250 is around 6K only...

And the rumor state that sa102/103 sounds less warmer than SA100/250?

Is it ture?

As I did listen to SA50/100 and they sound definitely warm.

Not sure, hopeman, I've not heard the SA250.

SA103 is quite good value in NZ for what it can do, but in saying that certainly isn't cheap.

Cheap is subjective. I actually think it is cheap. You won't pay that much more than a SA250 if you try and it is a hell of a lot newer.
