gortnipper
Not my listing, and if I had any money to spare I would be interested. Nice looking pair, however. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=227778792
quentin
that is a beautiful pair of speakers. But you need to have the room to house it.
Guest
Beautiful to look at but not listen to. No bass, no highs, no imaging but they do go LOUD on a whisper of power.
Cooksferry
For some reason I've always fancied a horn speaker though I've never heard one in a hifi setup. I like the retro looks of these but far too big for my man cave.

Ha MW! -In a 'funny' sort of way you are right I had a pair of those(Vinyl Era)--I think they still reside with the buyer in Whitford. Bass-- not much Doof but plenty of Thwack Highs-- Clean but lacking extension-- but put the Sequerra T1 Ribbons on them and it's whole new ball game. Mids Yep -So so imaging but they make such a "Wall of Sound" Imaging tends to get a bit confused in the mix. Loud --Definitely 5 W's can make you dive for the Volume. They are clean and precise though can be a tad honky on some input-- hav'nt heard with Digital but I'd certainly audition with a CD--could be detrimental? Still a fine Speaker all round though--reasonably priced--hell try and ship a pair of those from the US today! Des

I had a pair of Imperial 7s when I was in HS - dont know where they went...maybe I sold them when I built my EV horn-based speakers then. Hmmm... gortnipper
The Imperials had sculpted foam grills - lol - but I guess not so many sections, so maybe they're not the ones. Man, havent thought about those speakers in 30 years... Attached files
