LHH
I just picked up a copy of Nick Drake's excellent "Pink Moon" at Real Greedy. On the of the packaging it says: "1972 saw the release of Nick Drake's final album. It was finished in October 1971 and released on Island records in the UK. The album has been digitally remastered in 24 bit HDCD and includes new photos, lyrics and extended packaging." This, funnily enough, gave me the impression that the album would be HDCD. What I failed to notice was the very small round white sticker hidden by the seam of the plastic wrap, on which was written: "Not HDCD." WTF! Luckily, being such a good album, I would have bought it regardless.
otisredding
HDCD is only 20bit anyway . . . WTF indeed?
dafman1553552676
Misleading info at best! I would recommend returning the CD for a refund ... but, then, you would be giving back some wonderful music. I discovered this album a couple of months ago - recommended.
JohnN1553552709
I purchased the same CD from Sounds in Dunedin and only noticed that pesky small white sticker upon getting it home......
