Shipment of Secondhand Speakers

Recommended Posts

I am considering purchasing secondhand speakers both within Australia as well as Internationally.

What couriers have forums members used to organise the consignment? Any experiences with insurance claims for damages during shipment?

You may wish to start with a post in the "pay it Forward" section for your Aussie set?  Someone may move them for you!  Mat

I was put onto Cope Sensitive Freight buy a speaker manufacture and have used them a number of times.

have used DHL for over seas equipment and very happy. If your overseas seller has a account with DHL then it will be 50% cheaper.

My last DHL equipment buy from Singapore  was 100Kg and cost $800 airfreight.

PS I never use insurance..

Audio Note S’pore I first purchased a SACD player online and later visited there shop. They on sell there tradeins so good to check there web site.

The other link is on audiogon based in Singapore and sells very nice second hand gear.

https://hifi.com.sg/product-category/pre-owned/

https://www.audiogon.com/stores/lw_415

Depending if your after hiend (expensive) or just after a bargain , you should  consider   the AU $ is not what it use to be.......

A member on here operates a Freight company called Kiwi freight out of L.A. that usually brings in cars as I recall and puts suitable sized packages within them to save on space, I found them VG for USA imports myself.
