Magnepan repairs in Melbourne

I just bought some Magnepan mg-2.6/r but sadly the tweeters are ripped. Does anyone know someone who will repair these in Melbourne?

 

I spoke with Bill from MCCleans but he could not recommend anyone.

2.6s are very rare - so you should get them repaired!  Unfortunately, though, there is no one in Melbourne who can fit new Maggie ribbons. 

 

I suggest you will need to send them up to Bill - as he will be able to order the repair kit from Magnepan (and his tech will be able to do the job).

(That is if they do still send out kits - Magnepan may now simply do a swap - a new pair of ribbons for an old pair.)

@709er the company you mentioned are dead and gone. Search the forum if you want more detail.

 

Andyr's mention of Bill McLean Audio, Gosford is the standard go-to. Tip: these speakers can be safely shipped in cardboard, you dont need to make wooden crates (like I once did)
