frednork Posted March 13, 2019 Share Posted March 13, 2019 SOLD SOLD Item: Trevor Lees Proac clone floorstanders Location: Inner East Melb Price: $250 Item Condition: need some TLC Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Have had these lying around for some time and had planned to neaten them up and to enjoy but.....its never going to happen and I need the space. These speakers are quite heavy and well built (most likely by Aranmar, who manufacture cabinets for many Australian speaker makers) to Trevor's usual standard and sound great but do need some tlc to make them look better and allow them to operate well into the future. Cosmetically the veneer has faded and deteriorated and the plinths have lost paint on the corners. The covers are ok but they have been replaced and it is an acceptable but bodgy job. Operationally they work well but the surrounds on the scanspeak woofers are deteriorating on one and the other is not going to last forever either and will need refoaming at some point in the not too distant future. I can put you in touch with someone who can fix them for a very reasonable price. The tweeters seem fine.
