Bought from AtoA  August 2017

2 of the valves have the indexing pin broken off, but it has not been a problem to aim the valve at the correct pins to install the valves

The obvious question, which  is the preferred of the three settings. passive/ valve buffered / active . i never reached a conclusion. I alternated between passive and the valve output

and could not make up my mind. probably depends on the content.

If or when the new owner inserts the tubes with the missing posts incorrectly orientated and the preamp is damaged you might be liable for repairs. Id suggest thinking about selling without the tubes at a discount or buying a new set.

Nada

Any buyer could make the decision they could afford two new valves , or more likely upgrade two of them as the left and right hand pair have different functions , as much discussed by others in. SN.and othe forums   or even get solid state valves as sold by Schiit , and enable to keep the amp permanently switched on.

Agreed with Nada on this.  When i had my freya, i lost 1 tube because the sockets were so tight and the its very easy to wrongly slot tubes in especially when you're tube rolling.
