Album I can't get sick of playing

Recommended Posts

My favourite albums I hardly ever play, as I don't want to get sick of them.

Too many to list but these are high up.

Dylan> Blood on the Tracks.

Pink Floyd> DSOTM, Animals, Wish You Were Here> (Although, I won't play this any more after my son was killed.)

Al Stewart> Year of the Cat.

CSNY> Four Way Street.

Stones> Get Ya Ya Ya's Out. My favourite Stones Album.

Supertramp> Crime of the Century. (Part of my life.)

Joni Mitchell> Blue.

T Bone Burnett Truth Decay

Now that is obscure

i like his first one

cant think of the name

he was around Dylan when he converted to Christianity

could even be to blame?

enormously influential in Americana circles by bringing country musics past into the present through various musicians starting with O Brother

works a lot with the Cohen Brothers

The Alpha Band lp's x 3?

This one

Never owned it on cd but do remember how good it was

i think from memory there was an ep they put out

I bought them because they played with Dylan on the Rolling Thunder Tour

A case of quality by association so to speak

From memory T Bone was a Christian and Dylan’s conversion was about 3 years later

6 degrees of separation

And the T Bone record I like the most is this one

I've been listening to these two albums since I was 18 ... also has special significance for a friend that passed away far too young.

I have had those 2 records since the mid 70’s myself. David Surkamps voice is certainly unique [emoji1303]

'Pampered Menial' is genius?.....'At the Sound of the Bell' is unfortunately not?......IMO? and in the opinion of their record company, who dropped them after it's release.? I think 'Pampered Menial' is one of the great debut albums.

David Surkamp's voice certainly is unique ... although Rush's Geddy Lee comes close in a few places on "Tom Sawyer"

I might have to respectfully disagree there ... ATSOTB is just as genius but in a totally different style.

Pali Gap - Jimi Hendrix

I have this as a ring tone so I hear it often.???

I went to Pali Gap about the time of this and it was the MOST AMAZING place I've ever been.

p.s. I understand it has now been 'safety-fied' and is now almost unrecognisable.?

Anything by Motorhead, got em all

Anything by The Police especially Reggatta De Blanc

Anything by Thin Lizzy

Peter Murphy -Deep

King Crimson  - Larks' Tongues in Aspic

In no particular order or let’s describe it “as the mood desires “

King Crimson - In The Court Of The Crimson King ( well all releases really )

801 - Live

Yes - Close To The Edge and Fragile

Genesis - Nursery Cryme

Brian Eno - Another Green World and Before And After Science

Beatles - Revolver

Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced

Jethro Tull - Songs From The Wood

Craig Chaquico - Acoustic Highway

Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue

There are lots more albums in the Jazz genre that I return to time and time again
