yep like the enduros too but commitments have meant missing most if not all, but for fleeting moments ...

We only turn the TV on twice a year in reality - the Tennis and Bathurst. Because its such a novelty my daughter (6.5) looks forward to these times so its a bonding experience as much as anything else....funny she remembers the ads more than the race themselves. It was good last year, I'd be out doing work (fencing last year), I'd come in for lunch, she'd update me as to what was going on, who'd crashed, broken down etc, we'd watch for an hour then I'd go back to work until towards the end.

The Grid is a few mustangs... probably only thing of some interest... but even then, not sure what it is. the commodore cant be the new one apart from a new front or something , and nissan altima ? what on earth is one of those things ? nissan am pretty sure sell no new CARs as such any more in the country since they went SUVs only :)

You probably need to follow this championship a little closer to understand the manufacturer history and the current status.

@awaywarddo you understand it ?  :D Honest ? I'm seeing no real connection apart from the stang at the moment and can see the reaction here in this thread on peoples thoughts on that in itself ! :)

Surely it will die a slow death. Agree with the Mustang comments. Nissan....no comment.

Didn't take long for Lowndes to cut Ingall's lunch. I guess he has the cheezy smile.

At least the touring car masters still kicks on. Almost cry when they bend those things up. Must have way too much play money.

I call it StupidCars.

It's not called 'V8' any more cos it was opened up to any other manufacturers that wanted to join. Not only were there no takers but Merc and Volvo left !

There's a production 6 hour at Bathurst sometime isn't there?

The 6 hour race is at Easter.  21 April.

More like how the Bathurst race used to be  I expect.

Hopefully it will be on free tv.

Kelly Bros racing are going to run Mustangs next year.

All we need now is the Holden teams to switch Chevies.

No more Nissan next season and  Gary Rogers Motorsport going elsewhere too. Going.... going ....

Speedweek on SBS last week showed Touring Cars-Production. Real current or recent cars and a full championship series.

So the 'Holden' Commodore is an Opel right? Who are now owned by the Peugeot/Citroen conglomerate.....so there is no GM connection whatsoever except for a Holden badge.....on a German built car owned by the French.

A switch seems inevitable as the Commodore can't possibly continue to be an Opel.......
