But there is alot of good music on bandcamp and other sources( thanks @hired goon) that i would have otherwise tbat have heard. Plus these days al ot of established artists are putting stuff on bankcamp to either download or buy. Eg Steve jansen has done a new ambient album thats only available via d/l at bandcamp.

There is to many people here that dont get recognition and too many high profile looking better ....... cut the crap and be real not sure its a contest, but I agree that only posting what you own is what I do and what I prefer for anything not new release. It also feeds the artists. I can see for new releases that posting a stream is fine, as you may not own the copy yet and it is always good to see new releases to see if it piques your interest. good and bad music is more difficult to quantify as its in the eye of the beholder - more so with electronic music as there is so much of it out there. not sure if Liars is common or not? picked this up at the gig when I saw Liars live last year. It's damn good., nothing like what they have done before in being part ambient, part leftfield electronic

zog
https://astrangelyisolatedplace.bandcamp.com/album/stormur New Yagya release... released on an ambient label, but from an artist more known for his dub techno sounds, this goes very minimal techno in a Robert Hood kind of vein. 10 tracks.. all of them 127 BPM.. bandcamp flac release still available, but it appears the CD and vinyl all sold out. The bandcamp FLAC files I purchase are just as real to me for listening as the flac files I rip from my CD collection!

I sat on the fence on this and ultimately missed out on the vinyl on two occasions. I made a comment on this randomly on an Instagram post and Ryan from ASIP reached out to me and managed to track a copy on vinyl down for me, which is riding its way to me now! Excellent customer service from all already awesome label.
