lonewolf
Not sure if it’s enough space, hence why I was organising a van. The old plasmas take up a lot more space.
Gordon Macfarlane
If you take the stand off most 50" plasmas fit on the back seat of our Saab 95 as an example.
lonewolf
Oh really? Hmm.. That would be easier for me. Than paying for the loan of a van.
lonewolf
My camry is the 2004 model and hence not as modular when it comes to dropping seats etc. But the back seat area is still quite big. I have fitted like 45inch Tvs in there with stand but they were lcd. The old plasmas I guess it depends if the stand comes. Off and also how much extra space thy have on the sides of the tv.. Like the bezel plus speakers etc.
lonewolf
Anyone know the dimensions of the tv? Can’t find them online.
lonewolf
Been able to find the dimensions. It seems like the height and width will fit with about 7-10 cms spare. More when I angle it and I presume the dimensions they usually provide is with the stand so once the stand is removed it should be a lower height requirement. Of course it’s always more tricky when it comes to trying to get it in through the door and seats etc . I checked the door access and it seemed to have a few cms spare at the worst angles and more at the best angles but it’s different when you try to fit it as opposed to taking measurements
lonewolf
Any idea how much the stand would be affecting if , I presume it will be at least 5cms less height once the stand is removed.
