Its a 1971 fender twin. Its sounds glorious. Silver face fenders tend to get a bad rap from time to time. But i wouldnt swap mine for anything.

Great.  I bought the GT100 mainly because of it's Fender models, and especially the '65 twin model.   The twin, and the deluxe reverb, and maybe the dual showman are the ones I use all the time.

Mate!! Coopers stout and that room are made for each other. You don't even need a HiFi system in that room. Just a 3 in1 would suffice. Well done. Best room I've seen for a while, maybe the best room ever IMO.

Ohh, just saw, bass right up and treble hanging up there. Don't you just love tone controls:thumb:

Couldn't agree more about the room mate.

It is probably the best decorated listening room I have seen and the atmosphere looks superb.

Yes...as unpopular as it is to admit in the hifi would, i love tone controls. Not all records are created equal. Tone controls can help this issue massively.

This video was very informative on why vinyl sounds better than CD or Digital. I never knew those information before watching this and now got rough idea why it is so.. :)

Good that you got info off this video mate, but once again, this is a target for arguments and this thread is not about that.Sunny side up☺️

I was attracted to records because of the expense and the inconvenience. Ha ha. An old gag but the truth is, there were only records and cassettes when I was a teen and only records when I bought my first 45. To this day, it is my preferred medium. I love everything about it. The size, the weight, the artwork, the sound, the turntables...god I love the turntables! I buy a CD now and it’s such a minor thing but when I buy a new record, it’s an occasion, a celebration almost. As I type this I’m listening to some crushing doom metal and the wall of sound, the bass, the record cover: they all come into play and it is magnificent. Hail records. (Played on some vintage Japanese machinery of course!). Cheers, M

Thanks mate. It’s a Pioneer PL 7L. Imported from Japan. Lovely mid priced TT with a gorgeous ceramic tonearm. Cheers, M

My retro system circa 12 months ago for a monochrome photo challenge by friends on Facebook. Gale GS401A's, Gale GT2101 sporting an SME 3009 SII and Shure V15 Mk3, Lecson AC1 pre, and Lecson AP3 power. Unfortunately the Lecson AP3 power amp expired under load and has since been replaced with ME550 HiCap fed by MF XP-100. Occasionally I throw the Lecson AC1 preamp back in place of the XP-100 just for fun. But I prefer an Ortofon M15E Super over the Shure V15 Mk3, and the AC1 phono stage doesn't work as nicely with the Ortofon compared to the phono stage in the XP-100.

I sold Pioneer for 10 years back in the 80's and never knew they made the stuff you see here on this website. Brilliant.

+1 for the lounge (phono) ?

A little device that does something with music that I suspect those with an interest in what different types of timber strategically placed on a guitar body can do for tone would appreciate.

Enjoy.

I am a huge fan of the lounge. Arguably the best hifi purchase I've made. Big impact on my over all sound.

This is my little slice of vinyl heaven

When it's done right, with the right gear, set up properly, and with the right records,   vinyl sounds better to my ears than the best digital that I've heard.

And it's more fun!

It does, however,  take more time and effort , and is dependent on the quality and condition of the the record.
