mud_shark
I've just moved back to Melbourne after a couple of years in the UK. I shipped back my Panasonic TV, only to find out that it won't tune to the Australian free to air channels. Panasonic have confirmed this is the case.. So annoying. So it seems I need a set top box of some sort.. I only want something that will allow me to watch free to air TV. No need for recording or access to Stan etc. Will one of the cheapy models from JB Hifi / Harvey Norman etc be sufficient here?
Janjuggler
Hi @mud_shark They should be suitable for what you require if you only want Free 2 Air. JJ Edited November 8, 2018 by Janjuc
Bronal
I have a Humax 4Tune which is now spare - https://au.humaxdigital.com/product/4tune/ I got it in late 2016 so I could watch iView and SBS On-Demand but they changed their protocols so got a new TV. It will still get FTA TV and will also record up to four channels at a time. Yours for $75 posted. PM me if interested.
Guest Muon N'
I tend to pick up set top boxes and DVD players from OP Shops if I need something, gets you something used that will perform better than the new budget stuff and they can out last the new budget stuff also (cheaper too). Just google the models while in the shop.
