cyberkank
Item: Adcom GFA 7805 multichannel power amplifier 300W x 5 Location: Adelaide Price: 1200 Item Condition: Excellent (see info) Reason for selling: surplus Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Great amplifier, plenty of power. Pretty much can drive any speakers it is a big beast though weighing 40kg+ so shipping can be an issue. I do have the original double box that came with the unit. Can take XLR / RCA and never run hot. Also it is the power plug has been upgraded to a VOO DOO audio one (US). For some reason, this unit does have a hum in my setup. You don't hear it when watching movies. I am not sure what is causing the hum. So priced accordingly. Festooned
Is the hum mechanical from the transformer or through the speakers? A lot of the Adcom transformers are very DC sensitive and hum/buzz mechanically when there's a bit of DC on the mains. Some of the Pass Labs ones I've seen have been also.
