t_mike
I can't find any details of other venues, so this may be it. The guitarist is the older brother and teacher of Victor Wooten. https://birdsbasement.com/show/600/ralphe-armstrongs-fusion-reunion Here's a teaser, lovers of bass guitar will love this. mrbuzzardstubble
Great bass player. I saw him with the Mahavishnu Orchestra at the Hordern Pavilion in November '74.
t_mike
If anyone is interested in going to the last gig next Sunday, let me know. I intend to go, at this stage it's all systems go. This will be an amazing band of virtuoso musicians, and shouldn't be missed.
t_mike
For those unsure of who this guy is, he was taught and mentored by Ron Carter, further mentored by Herbie Hancock, was a friend and a regular jammer with Jaco Pastorius, likewise with Stanley Clark. He has played in the bands of John McLaughlin and Miles Davis, along with being a session player for the whos who of most music genres. This guy is a member of jazz royalty, and he's available to be seen for well under $100 in a small cosy environment. Here's a youtube clip of an interview with him. It's quite long, but worth it from an educational point of view, as much as getting an idea of who he is.
