Guest yamaha_man
Ok, what the essential album (vinyl) for her music and recording quality? I just heard this song and it has sparked my interest. Edited October 4, 2018 by yamaha_man

audiofeline
I got a double compilation in the 1980's, UK pressing from memory, very nice. Then a few of her US albums. A wonderful artist. In fact, that era produced fantastic male and female R+B artists. Ruth Brown's another to check out ("Mama, He Treats Your Daughter Mean" is one of her signature tracks). Don't forget Big Mama T. also did the original "Ball and Chain" that helped launch Janis Joplin's career. Another track you need to get.
t_mike
The UK's answer to Janis Joplin, Maggie Bell, seems to be another lost in time.
bob_m_54
That track is particularly Joplinesque :)
