awesome job! room looks fantastic.

love the ref 6! is there much difference in comparison to 5se?

also, alexia is quite a big speaker. do you have any bass issues in the room?

Thanks.

the Ref 5SE/75SE is a cracker of a combination and I wish I had kept them for some unknown future use.

re: bass output. The Alexia is a very versatile speaker (near-field and a room filler) and while placement is important it is pretty hard to get it wrong. I followed the Wilson Audio Setup Procedure (WASP), I have experimented with countless positions over the last months, starting with flush with the rear wall to 1m out and then and adjustment of the toe-in angles. Right now they sound soooooo sweet and amazing (the bass is just perfect).

The other thing which has totally brought the sound together is the acoustic panels, they are a must.

Thanks.

Unfortunately I didn't get an opportunity to compare the Ref5SE to the Ref6...

The Ref6 is an upgrade on the Ref5SE.  Much lower noise floor and lower distortion.  The Ref6 passed my 30sec test.  If I can't tell it's better in 30s I don't buy.

not sure about the ref6, but stillpoint ultra ss's just fit under the corners of the ref5se without touching the ventilation plate. they work nicely.

also, ref5se/75se (or 150/250) is a great combo. they work magic together for sure.

I’ve got the Ultra 5s just on the rubber feet at the moment, sound great.

That's great, what an excellent transformation!

I wonder what further sound improvements there may be with some heavy curtains across the glass windows?

I've been recently listening to a pair of Alexias with some high end tube gear.... a stunning combination.

I hope the St Henri was drinking well.... happy days!
