@Willy71 Let us know your impression of the new tv. I am thinking of upgrading and was tossing up between the Sony and the Panasonic.

Good choice.

I've been away from the forums for a while and was about to ask the same question.

I'm still running a B series Samsung plasma @ 58" (still going well) but have been looking at upgrading to either 65" or 75" to make the most of my growing UHD Blu Ray collection.

I can see the positives of OLED but not at the price point they're currently selling for so I will keep a look out for the Pana 65fx800a or Sony XF90 65"/75".

Looking forward to your Pana feedback 😉

Feedback no worries
Give me a bit of time but.
I have been running a Pioneer plasma since new.
Still love it's picture
And it's still going strong
And yeah I can't justify the oled price yet either
Cheers

I'm still running my Kuro as well. It gets some pinky cloudy bits on the screen and its happening more and more but its still quite fine to watch. It'll have to die one day so I'll need to be ready to grab something quickly when it does. I'm looking at a 65 as well.

Right after playing with my new TV for a few days I find the picture to be very good. Contrast is very good colours look great picture is sharp especially with HD signals. Maybe if you had a OLED TV side by side in your living room you may be able to tell the difference but for me the picture is of good quality Sound is pretty crap like a phone speaker in a bean tin but I have it hooked up to a Soundbar Off angle viewing isn't that good screen gets dark the more of an angle you are on.
Like all new TV's out of the box settings needed a bit of a tweak. Looks good mounted on my wall, screen is thin glass.
Has excellent inbuilt cable management through the back of the TV and through the stand
Overall very happy for the price
No doubt OLED is the better technology but at twice the price I can't justify spending the money
