Thoughts on an amp for B&W 685s2?

Recommended Posts

Currently hooked to an AV receiver (Marantz SR4400) and sounding horrible. Looking for a warm, yet precise sound, 2nd hand quality box. Was thinking of NAD C370 but couldn't find one. Anyone running these speakers and is bery happy with his amp?

Any recommendation on a specific model I should be on the hunt for?
I read that the RA 03 is good?

How about Musical Fidelity B1? I came across this amp going for $300

I read online that the amp is nice, but some people wrote that pairing it with B&W is horrible and harsh. Is anyone running a MF + BW setup?

I've got an old A308 dual monoblock MF amp and B&W 705s (with a small B&W sub) and love the music I listen to through them.

cheers

Hi,

One of the sponsors has a Primare i22 which go well with B&W.

Thanks Guys, I've ended up buying the MF B1 second hand.

The set up is: Phone > Chromecast Audio > Cambridge Audio DAC Magic100 > MF B1 > BW 685s2

Quite happy with the sound so far
