Extra Info:

Bought these from Convoy a few years ago as an ex demo pair they used at a hifi show at some point. They have never let me down and have been a mainstay in my system ever since.

These are the baby brother of the S4700's which share the same compression driver and tweeter. They have a narrower baffle with dual 10inch speakers and actually dig a little deeper the S4700's (33hz vs 38hz -6db). Easier to setup then the S4700s and are little less critical with placement.

Two little minor imperfections detailed in the photos but otherwise they are mint. Didn't go overboard with the photos as I am unable to take anything decent

I have the original shipping cartons and floor spikes so interstate freight is possible but they will definitely need to go on a skid beforehand. One of the cardboard boxes is slightly water damaged but for freight on a skid this won't matter. Will only drop them at Pack Send and won't freight myself.

S3900 Floorstanding Speakers

Introducing the JBL® S3900, a dual 10-inch (250-millimeter), floorstanding speaker ideal for two-channel and multichannel home theater systems. Leveraging professional-grade components and taking design cues from the legendary K2® S9900, the S3900 is an audiophile’s dream come true.

Hear it as the pros hear it. The JBL® S3900 puts a new spin on the praised JBL K2 S9900. Like its acclaimed sibling, the S3900 delivers your HD media in all its glory – you’ll feel as if you’re sitting in the studio with the engineers and artists.

Dual 10-inch (250-millimeter) pulp-fiber cone woofers deliver lows as deep as 33Hz; a 1-3/4-inch (50-millimeter) Aquaplas-coated, pure-titanium driver delivers mids and highs with lifelike dynamics and startling realism; a 3/4-inch (19-millimeter) ultrahigh-frequency transducer reproduces frequencies up to 40kHz with extreme clarity. From your lows to highs, you won’t miss a sound. Ready to be used as part of a two-channel or surround-sound system, the S3900 looks as beautiful as it sounds with its handsome, elegant design.

Helluva bargain here folks. There’s a good reason you don’t see many of these for sale used - they’re very good.

I regard these as the sweet spot in the JBL range.

They will fit into most rooms, and frankly sound delicious.

If I was in the country they’d be sold at this price.

👍

Dang nabbit. If only this was put up 2 months ago.

Had been on the hunt for 2nd hand full range towers in particular JBLs for months.

Had to push the go button on LCR cinema speakers instead.

Can only imagine how these perform. GLWTS

They would be good. Same compression driver and tweeter but voiced differently via the crossovers. Greg Timbers designed the networks in the 3900/4700.

The 2X10's outperform a single 12.
