That’s an awesome bargain ... an RP8 for under 2000. I went through the path of trying to make my RP3 sound like a RP8, and after all the mods, it costed me around the same price as this RP8.

This will be snatched in no time. GLWS

Great table would be interesting to hear the Goldring as I’ve always used a 2m black on mine. GLWTS

Thanks guys. I believe it's a hell of a lot of turntable for the money but ultimately the market will predict that.

This is a very nice tt. I’m surprised it hasn’t sold.

A fair bit of interest but no one has taken the plunge.

To clarify - happy to sell the TT alone and the cart separately.

As the former owner of this turntable, one thing which should be mentioned is that this turntable has a couple of upgrades. The arm has been re-wired with Cardas wire using the incognito kit, and it has the upgraded tungsten counterweight, both of which provide a noticeable improvement. I am almost tempted to buy it back myself.

I really should have mentioned that in the ad.

Thanks Ross.

Is this one original Ad?

If so, has the heatshrink now been added onto one of the cartridge pins that was replaced?

And, @TerryO looks like putting his hands up for this 2 months ago when you decide to move to be 1st in line? :)

It is indeed.

I just realised the price (I had 2100 in my head as what I paid).

I have now adjusted my price to match. I picked this up at a bargain so Im extending that to the next owner.

If heatshrink now added, then it is faultless. WOW, the price is so damn good (Massive Bargain) and I am certain that it will be sold today.

Best luck on your sale (you won't need it though).  I guess that Terry no longer chasing this?  :)

I think Terry was having a bit of a dig at me for changing gear so often. Im not sure if he was actually in the market for a new deck or not?

Another couple of months Andy and I would have been in the market, I actually expected given your usual cycle of replacement that it would take you a little longer to move the RP8 on, but anyway this time round I'm bust, in the last two weeks I have purchased a PS Audio P10, a Gross Dac, a Tron SEVEN phono stage and at present after having waited several months to get the Oracle Delphi TT up here it is now finally in being assembled so I am all hified out for a little while.

... that is unless you will let me have the RP8 on lay-by old mate? ... :winky:

cheers Terry

Item: Krix Lyrix Gold - Jarrah
      Location: Canberra, ACT
      Price: Asking $650 $550
      Item Condition: 8/10
Reason for selling: Not used / surplus to requirements

Lovely set of Krix that are going to waste in my back room. The Jarrah veneer is spotless however there is a small amount of fading visible when the dust covers are removed (see pics). Also missing one brass bi-wire plate but otherwise spotless.

Local pickup very much preferred as I don't have the original boxes.

      Item:
Evolution Acoustics - MMMicroOne Stand Mounts with Matching Speaker Stands.
Manual and original wooden freight crates with foam surrounds included for both stands and speakers.

      Location: Sydney - 2193

      Item Condition: Excellent

Price:  $1,800 (excluding shipping) - current retail in AU is $5.5k - $1,600 for local pick-up or $1,800 incl. insured shipping (this weekend only, as trying to move them before going overseas next week)

Reason for selling: Well, what can I say - I love the sound of these and they look amazing, got these to please the boss with something more appealing for the living area, and ... she hates the red of the speakers being different from the red of the sofas ... enough said.

Payment Method: Cash on pick-up, PayPal (+3% or as friend)

      Extra Info:
Purchased these only three months ago here on SNA. Original thread linked below.

These speakers really do live up to the hype, if you feed these with good and powerful amplification, they sing. Imaging is to die for and for the size of the speakers/drivers, they deliver an incredibly tight and punchy bass.

If I had to criticise one thing, it would be the stands. I am not the biggest fan of the finish on the bases, the spikes and the somewhat bizarre fixing mechanism - but they sound fantastic, so the stands clearly work ....

I do not actually want to sell these, but am doing so to keep the peace in the house, as I have learned to pick my battles over the years ...

The pics below have been taken by me and are the actual speakers in my living room. Crates and everything else as per the images in the original add.

Original add (MORE PICS, CRATES AND LINKS TO REVIEWS)

I ended up paying $1,900 for the speakers, so have taken $100 off the price to reflect me owning them for three months. Condition is exactly as they entered my house - excellent.

Speakers can be auditioned at our place in Hurlstone Park if you are interested, and due to the weight of the crates I will give preference to local buyers, although insured freight can be arranged if required.

Happy to answer any questions here or shoot me a PM.
      Cheers,
      Ralf

Item: Origin Live Calypso TT with Conqueror arm
      Location: Perth, WA
      Price: $2,200 $1,800
Item Condition: Good condition with original packaging and manual
Reason for selling: Want a change
      Payment Method: Pickup - Cash
      Extra Info:
Second owner, purchased from an SNA member in March last year who had originally purchased this from Decibel Hifi. It is a MkII set-up, with the high end Conqueror tonearm and upgraded power supply. Since purchasing I have had the table serviced and arm rewired by the Turntable Doctor which was around $800.

Note - this will need a new belt if the new owner is picky. I've repaired it with a rubber patch and it works fine for me. Also it will possibly require oil for the spindle/bearing if disassembled for transport.

Comes with all original packaging (including wooden arm crate), manuals and tools. Would prefer local pick-up but can consider shipping at purchaser's cost.

I also have a perspex cover that I had custom made to suit this TT which cost around $150. I can include this in the sale at asking price.

The 2M black cartridge is not included in the sale.

Pictures: (apologies for the crap iPhone photos - taken in two separate setups in my room over the past few months)
