The 802 Diamonds were my favorite. Driven by Krell Monobloks.

if helps any, I have the utopia Divas and a the time I was tossing up between them and the 802Ds, in my demoing I found them quite comparable. there was something about the sound of the focals I loved but if I had settled on the 802Ds I wouldnt have felt robbed. they are great speakers. well worthy of their fame and accolades :)

I did hear them versus 800Di's at Len's once and very much liked the mids and treble, but the bass was a bit soft and not as well defined as it was with the B&W's.  Bear in mind that was vs 800Di's, not 802Di's.

Also, maybe Len's room at play but the B&W's produced a much better defined sound stage.

Fwiw, all the love seems to be with the 802D3 these days, but you can get the 802Di's sounding very similar if you spend some time getting them in the optimum position and with rake and toe-in optimised. The centre axes should cross just behind the listening position, and a bit of forward rake is needed if your ear height isn't on or just below tweeter axis. Fwiw, I have 800Di's and they sound fantastic with a big amp, and same applies to the 802Di's.

Agree with the comment on the Alto soft bass. I'm not a B&W fanboy but I do like these.

      Item: B&W CM6 S2 Speakers
      Location: Brisbane
      Price: $1500
      Item Condition: Very Good
      Reason for selling: NLR
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info: Can be shipped Australia wide as have original boxes.
Lots of online info if you are not familiar with them - but these are up there with the best in bang for buck. From a personal point of view these are some of the best bookshelf speakers I have owned and their real strengths are detail & sound stage. Grills are magnetic attachment which is nice as it leaves the fronts 'blemish free' when removed. I have the boxes for the speakers so can ship Australia wide at buyers' expense. Can be demo'd in Tennyson, Brisbane. The CM6 S2 has recently been replaced by the B&W 705 speakers that sell (RSP) for $3499 so this set is less than half the price of buying the new version. (Some B&W resellers still have stock of CM6 S2 and have them listed at $2999.)
Pics form part of the description and guide to overall condition. The only blemish on the speakers just to the right of the Bowers & Wilkins logo and is shown in the last image.

      Tech info:
      Drivers: 1 x 25mm aluminium dome tweeter, 1 x 165mm Kevlar cone bass/midrange
      Crossover: 4000Hz
      Frequency response: 50-28kHz ±3dB; 45-50kHz -6dB
      Impedance: 8 ohms (min 3.7)
      Sensitivity: 88dB (2.83V/1m)
Power handling: 30-120 watts unclipped (recommended amplifier power)
      Cabinet: Bass reflex (rear port)
      Dimensions (hwd): 403 x 200 x 285mm
      Weight (each): 8.9kg

Item: NAD D7050 Digital Amplifier and Bowers & Wilkins CM5 S2 bookshelf speakers w. B&W stands
Location: Surry Hills NSW, close to Central Station
Price: $2000 (prefer to sell together, but can discuss separating) - happy to make a donation to SN if they sell via the site!
Item Condition: Amp: very good condition, recently serviced by Len Wallis Audio with brand new power supply installed. Speakers in excellent condition with only minor / hairline swirls visible, as are the stands.
Reason for selling: Rearranging our sound situation, for reasons of space
Payment Method: Pickup - cash preferred
      Extra Info:
Amp was purchased new from Addicted to Audio in 2016, speakers were purchased from another SN member at the same time. Neither have been driven hard, mostly used for TV/movies and a bit of music while working. It's a great compact system, and should go to a good home! Also have the original box, manual / booklet & packaging for the speakers, and two sets of spikes for the stands (different lengths). We're a no-pets / non-smoking household, so no rogue fur or smells are attached to these.

Speaker info from Stereophile review:  https://www.stereophile.com/content/bowers-amp-wilkins-cm5-loudspeaker
"The B&W CM5 touched me in a unique way. With every recording I played, this neutral, dynamic speaker revealed layers of detail that let me hear into the recording process, but in a way that made it easy to forget about that process, kick back, and enjoy the music. Just as paradoxically, its high level of resolution let me differentiate among great, good, and not-so-good recordings, but in a way that didn't lessen my enjoyment of music that had been poorly recorded. If I had to, I could live with this affordable bookshelf model as my only loudspeaker. I can't remember the last time I said that about another speaker in the USD$1500/pair price region. A tremendous achievement by Bowers & Wilkins."
