David Gilmour Live at Pompeii option x

Recommended Posts

The Live at Pompeii bluray gives an option in audio setup of   " x"

just noticed this sounds a lot better than the other stereo option

and suggest forum members should give it a try.

What does your player/receiver tell you?

Another version I found is, which could be some alternate mix....

I am using a Marantz UD5005 has very minimal display options but it displays it is 2 channel, so remains a bit of a mystery as

to what audio option x is, but I am enjoying it.

If it sounds different, it is almost certainly an alternate mix.

.... really strange, nowhere is reporting any other audio tracks aside from the two (5.1 and Stereo).

LOL.........

Option "X" is NOT an audio option.

It's for eXiting/closing the Audio Option Sub Menu!!!!

The two audio choices are as shown in the pic......PCM STEREO 24/96 and 5.1 DTS HDMA 24/96......that's it!!!!

If you don't believe me hit the "audio" button on your BD player.

.... guffaw

I didn't even consider this, given the difference in sound described.

That’s a hardware implementation, not on software.
