best way to price second hand gear

Hi all looking at selling some gear where is the best place to try and work out some baseline pricing?

speakers, receiver, projector and screen

Google firstly all your gear and you'll end up with eBay&Gumtree&Audio Market&Audiogon and others that will certainly give you historical value as well as current values around the globe

Then there are the thousands of hifi sites around the world and here as well obviously.

Then there is here where you can search through the FS section for the many years we've been here.

 

Members here will give you mostly fair advice on your gear and you may be lucky enough to even sell it on the quiet to someone here who contacts you with a price.

Around a third of the retail price [who pays that ?] is a good guide if it is more than couple of years old and is in good condition.

If you want to sell it quickly make it about a quarter.

If you go to the Hifi Shark site, it identifies all the items currently for sale globally as well as showing those that have sold. It even picks up items listed on sna.

I agree with Thomo. I’d say $300 for the ats 5’s would be a reasonable price.
