Sam Z Posted August 10, 2018 Share Posted August 10, 2018 @John Leslie I have a pair of 808s. The 808 was the big control monitor Abbey Road and other studios wanted B&W to make, so they did. They're good fun in big rooms like yours. As the others say the 808s are hungry and deserve a better amp, a big, stable, high current amp. Luckily you live in the land of them. Not only will they sound better but it's safer for the speakers. Although they do have some protection circuitry, be gentle with them. They're impossible to find spares for.
