HDTV recommendations.

Recommended Posts

I'm after a LCD HDTV under 50" so i imagine that means a 42" screen.[are there any around  45"?]

The deal-breaker would be that i must be able to watch Youtube videos on the tv. I know some have that feature via wifi, however my pc doesn't have wifi, however i'm assuming i can add that to the pc tower if i have to?

Only have around $1000 to spend.

Basic tv with a great picture, and able to watch Youtube on it.

Thanks.

they seem to have settled on 40"

with the slim bezels of tvs now days you might be suprised to find 50" TVs the size of 42" tvs a while back.

eg a 55" sony oled  is smaller overall than my pio kuro 50"

If you want to use Youtube then the Sony with voice remote is awesome. Can't see anything under $1k though that has this function.

Not sure if you are aware or not. If you want to search Youtube from the TV app, typically you use the remote to point & click at an on screen key board. But you click only one letter at a time.

This is a little clunky to use.

Alternatively you could buy a blutooth keyboard and search using that keyboard.

Or you can search on your phone, then 'cast' to your TV.
