I am interested to buy a JVC for that price but having trouble waiting for delivery. I am in Sydney and I see JVC head office is only 10 minutes away from me. Is there any chance for me to pay and pick up there or somewhere near me?

Yes they allow pickups, you just need to let me know what day and take a copy of your invoice.

That's great. Is that you can issue me an invoice so I can pay at the time of pickup at their office? That will be much easier and trouble free.

Thanks to all who snapped up a JVC during this sale.

Sadly it all ends tomorrow and back to regular pricing. So if you're on the fence, you know when this finishes.

Sorry I didn't see this before. Not sure, they certainly have one they're testing out. Time will tell.

Hi Rich, this looks like a great deal. Could you please briefly explain the 9900's advantages over the 7900, other than being a little brighter?

I don't want to clutter the thread so we can take the discussion to PM if that's preferable.

Thank you :)

Sorry I missed this monsieurjj. The main difference yes is 100 lumens brighter and 30,000 more in contrast (130K vs 160K). The hand picked parts.. I don't know...nobody seems to know much about this aspect.. Just to separate the 2 models a little further. They should ALL have 'hand picked parts'.. the lens assemblies should all the same.. If they had defective lenses they shouldn't be used period, send them back. You can't hand pick the chipsets like they're running along some conveyer belt, you're talking microns, probably manufactured in the infared spectrum like pentium chipsets. My Father actually did a feasibility study for pentium at Macquarie many years ago for this very thing.. not sure what they ended up doing. But to give you an idea, the 7900 has been outselling the 9900 by about 8-10:1 ratio so a VERY popular machine.

No really poor, worse than the 7900 to 9900. The middle model always has sold better for us, other dealers im sure sell more of the entry level ones though.
