Mat-with-one-t
Hiall. I have a large off-shape room with very tall ceiling and glass all along one side and window behind speakers, and a timber floor. Hmmm. So, I just whipped up a frame for the missus, who then mounted a printed fabric as some wall art. Actually looks awesome imho! It’s quite large, and frame is 19mm deep. It got me thinking.... shoukd I fill the area behind the picture with some sort of acoustic panel? It won’t be seen, so I would get away with it! i am aware there’s lots the room needs (heavy blinds when we can afford, but avoiding rugs as it’s a beautiful spotted gum floor that I don’t want to cover!! Mat Ps: no, clotheslines are not acoustic treatment.....yet!
davewantsmoore
No. You'll be adding very high frequency absorption to one side of the room.... and on the other side of the room you have very high frequency reflection. Nice room!
