New vinyl rack/display

Recommended Posts

I was looking for something that would get some of my albums out of the sideboard cupboards, make it easier to flick through and also looked good. This is what I found and I thought I'd post a few pics.

Hi Benny,

someone sent me a picture  thinking I would like it, they were right. Found the guy that made it and he was close by in Melbourne so I had him make me one.

Looks great, love having the album covers on display!

Would be keen to know how much this cost to have made? (Send me a PM if you prefer...)

Cheers.

@SETfan .....and then you can let us all know......

Love it.  Looks like recycled Messmate?  One of my faves, and I have heaps of it!!  Can we get some pics of the steel sections from the side?  How many records do you reckon fit in it?

For those with loads of discs, it’d make a great “albums on current high rotation” or “albums I’ve bought and cleaned but need to listen to” rack!

You can fit 200+ albums and still flick through them comfortably. I will post some side on pics later in the week.

I like this record storage / display as well

In fact I like it a lot

Because I am way up north in Brisbane I could build one but it would be good to have some side photos and some measurements

If I did it I'd have the steel sides laser cut, with the screw holes already cut.  Then 10 minutes on the drill press countersinking those suckers and then straight to the powdercoaters.  Easy as, and not so expensive especially in a batch.

I'm just in the process of 'prettying up' the audio room and have been looking for record storage - these look awesome and...  as I'm in Melbourne as well would love to know who made them for you if you're happy to share that info!

I'm still using west end export longneck boxes.

Me......one milk crate, one purpose made wooden box which holds about 30 LP's and 2 feet of floor in between these two containers?....... I really have to get some better storage for my treasured collection.? Love that 'Hayden' Zed rack? but at the price, may well make my own version. Great design.

Guys I think maybe it's this fella Hayden? I think I've seen some of his hifi related furniture around Melbourne but the O/P can confirm
