Domino23
Hi Guys, So...have just finished owner build on our new house and ready to setup our home theatre. I have picked up the following: * Optoma HD36 * Dali Concept 10s * REL T7i * 2x Monitor Audio CT165 * Monitor Audio Silver Surround * Monitor Audio Silver Centre * Yamaha RXV1800 Looking at picking up a 120" Oz Theatre Screen next. What I am stuck on is Bluray choice. I need a tv tuner as well, so do I go for a Bluray/tuner in one or spend extra for a dedicated bluray and dedicated tuner? OR buy say XBOX One with tv tuner adapted? Really a noob starting out. Any advice is appreciated.
pond44
When building did you soundproof the room and allow access for wiring etc.?
Domino23
The room is soundproofed, but mainly just insulation. I decided not to continue down the path of thicker gyprock etc. As for access, I have added a 20mm and 50mm conduit behind the AV gear. Extra CAT 6 cable also installed. Guest Prof.
I would definitely get a good blu-ray player separate from a tuner.. You don't have to spend a lot of money to get a good player and one of the Panasonic players will give you all you need for the time being..
