Billyboi
Greetings, What would be a good amplifier for these old Accusound speakers? Is there a specific type of amplifier I need or will any off the shelf do the trick? Cheers P.s. sorry only have a photo of the back
Mr John
I am running an old Denon amp 1404 5.1 and (20 yrs old 90 rms) and find they works great with the Denon and unlike some speakers they appear to be quite efficient and not power hungry. . Edited January 1, 2020 by Mr John I reworded my comment.
Cafad
Accusound are not difficult speakers to pair amps with, I've used 4 pairs of accusound delta speakers with a wide range of amps in the past and they all worked well.
bvuka2013
I had a pair of Accusound AS308s in the late 90s, along with a pair of Aaron ATS3s. I found the Pioneer A400X more than good enough to drive them, they matched very well. It was a 50W amp, same vintage as the Accusounds. The Accusounds were my very first Aust. built speakers. Easy to drive, no need for anything outlandish to match them with.

Indeed. My Detla bookshelf speakers (2 pairs, Dl-625 and DLR-525) have 8 ohm drivers so no problem on the amp. But the AS 308 MK II is a different speaker from the late 1990's.
