ophool
Do it. It may take a little scratching around to find all the settings etc, but when you you do you will find it an excellent piece of software. Well designed and thought out with all the adjustments and facilities you could wish for. Autostart recording, non-destructive editing, track splitting and album lookup and info retrieval. As to the sound, as far as I recall it is available as a trial so you can assess that for yourself. I changed over to it from Sound Forge Audio Studio for the improved facilities and task specific design features.
eltech
I like audacity very much. What are you having trouble with? Perhaps I can help?
ophool
With respect, I do not dislike Audacity, it is a very good and useable FREE general purpose audio editor. As a task specialised piece of software, specifically for vinyl or cassette archival, it does not come within a bulls roar of vinylstudio. The price of Vinylstudio is hardly bankbreaking, unlike some other specialised packages.
