Extra Info: OK, I have too much 'stuff' sitting around seriously (I know, I'm not the only one) and I'm trying to clean up and clear up some space. SO what I've got here is:

Marantz CD 63 - $30

Sounds really surprisingly good. Smooth and powerful sound. BUT, tray makes a funny sound opening and closing the tray just needs some grease on the cogs. Also, one of the RCA sockets on the rear is a bit loose so the sound can drop out in one channel. If your handy with a soldering iron, and have some electronics grease or lubricant to hand this player would be good as new. Includes remote

 

Sherwood audio/video surround sound receiver - $30

Lots of inputs, outputs, dolby logic, dts, digital inputs etc etc

Sounds really nice with the CD player and speakers

 

Energy Pro series .5 bookshelf speakers - $30

Fiesty, smooth sound, lots of punch and a big sound for little speakers.

 

Great for a study, garage or anywhere you want some decent sound but don't want to spend much.

Bargain for the Marantz alone. I think all the CD 63’s have had some issues with the tray by now (!) but very sweet sound for the price.
