FS: [Syd] Technics SL-M3 linear tracker turntable with EPC-p205 Mk4 cartridge

Recommended Posts

Item: Technics SL-M3 linear tracker turntable with EPC-p205 Mk4 cartridge

Location: Lower North Shore, Sydney
Price: $1350
Item Condition: Excellent, 30+ years old but in great condition
Reason for selling: Too many turntables
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info: I have been going a bit crazy collecting linear trackers and now I don't have the space for them all! I still want to try out the Yamaha PX-2, so I am getting rid of a few things before I make another purchase. This is a beautiful TT with great sound and the tracking is amazing. Particularly good for houses with suspended floors as its way less prone to skipping if you are heavy footed. Will need a Japanese power converter to 100v. Happy to demo in Sydney.

Can post but I have no idea how expensive it will be as the box will be pretty big.

Is that an outrageously good photograph of the stylus?

Wow this is beautiful.  And with that cartridge,  it must sound gorgeous.  As a fellow fan of linear decks, I am trying to resist.  GLWTS

Can you let us know which model of USB microscope and where did you bought it from. Always wanted to take such pictures but didn't know what to use and how.

Cheers.

What a beauty  , cartridge alone is worth over $500.

It does sound and look wonderful, but my Sony PS-X800 just wins given it is a lot smaller and I can use my beloved EPC-205C Mk4 on it (the headshell version not the T4P one).

Can't remember exactly but it was about $180 from Jaycar. I actually ended up returning it as whilst it can produce good pics like this, the focus was ultra fiddly and more of a sheer luck thing to get it exactly focused rather than any skill!

If  you've already got an interchangeable lens camera you can get adapters than allow you to reverse the lens for super close macro on a budget.

Fantastic turntable by the way.   GLWTS.

You beat me to that comment!

And if I was to ever to come back to vinyl playing, TT with linear arm and TP-4 would be my choice
