The grilles are made of elastic strings; however, these have lost their elasticity over the years and I do not use them (would be easy to restring though). Condition is very good, however a careless removalist managed to ever so slightly dent the side of the left speaker (pictured). It is barely noticeable, but needs to be mentioned for full disclosure!.
