Back to vinyl

I’ve had audio research gear since the 80’s. Didn’t play it for the last 20 years due to children, work etc.

Back in May, decided to switch it all on to see if it still works...couldn’t believe the sound.

Now I’m hooked again.

It seems kids are the natural enemy of vinyl.    I'm certainly finding with a 4 and 2 yr old (and another on the way) that our listening we've moved to more convenient means for the most part.  And our records have moved to the top shelf,  out of reach from grubby little hands.      Our spending priorities have also changed so new records are few and far between :(

But it's great to still have it readily accessible for when we want.  Last weekend we had some family visiting  and sat evening was spent taking turns choosing records to play.      It's somehow much more enjoyable than doing the same with digital files.
