Posted November 16, 2017 Share Posted November 16, 2017 (edited) looking at purchasing the Rega RP8 B4 Xmas as a gift for myself Any one can comment if you own one.or had one .good or bad or better I have a P77 Garrott Brothers Cartridge original from the early 80s new in the box. Would this be suitable for this T/T being only a MM. I would like to keep the cost down and use if possible. Any thoughts would be helpful ..Not up to speed with analogue any more .......... You can also get a VTA kit for these from Decibel HiFi which the P77 might need. Otherwise, a shim or two might be handy. I have a P7 with a rewired arm and Exact cart, super happy with it. They are a far bit of coin RRP in Australia I noted, I had a friend visiting the UK and they were around $2000 aud (after with VAT returned) and then you'd have to pay GST when bringing it in.
