Brewer
Hi everyone, I've been using a variety of crappy temporary speakers and it's time to upgrade. I already have a decent receiver. After much thought and consideration of the room layout I've decided to go with an LCR main setup (using 3 identical, eg MTM type speakers). Later I'll fill this out with some surrounds (ideally using the same drivers, but I'm not obsessed). I would love something really big like the Klipsch quad 6.5", as I have quite a large space to fill, but budget is a serious restriction as there is plenty else on the go right now. I don't want to go much over about $200/ea for the 3 mains. Are there any good value options available locally I should check out?
Home theatre rookie
At that price, id say you MIGHT be able to pick something up 2nd hand. Keep saving for a little longer.

Brewer
Thanks, but secondhand is probably out as I'm a long way out of town, and I REALLY want the LC&R to match. I'm currently looking at the BIC Formula FH6-LCR 6-1/2", which get good reviews for a 'budget' setup and can be landed here for around $240 a piece, but I'm wondering if I can get more speaker (and less freight) for my money locally?
