PicoWattson
My Auralic Vega DAC appears to have died. Ones and zeros are going in nothing seems to be coming out. Menu and lights are fine. Hooked it up to 3 different amplifiers with no result. Hooked it up to 3 different digital sources and ditto. It's way out of warranty, so any suggestion for a good digital fixer upper in Melbourne would be appreciated.
georgehifi
Muting circuit could have not switched off, "maybe" because of a fault. I don't know anyone in Vic with the skills. Cheers George
F18
I'd get it serviced through an authorized dealer which they can point you to the contact who can repair it or get it serviced (most likely getting it sent overseas) or get it repaired if under warranty. It's a new DAC and I would personally not let a regular tech tamper with it. Cheers,
georgehifi
I take it you've de-powered it for a while and re-powered it, just in case it needed a reset? Cheers George Edited October 24, 2017 by georgehifi
PicoWattson
Addicted to Audio are no longer distributors for Auralic. They have no representation in Australia at present. NZ distributor suggested contacting Auralic direct which I have done, awaiting their suggestion. Depowered, repowered ad infinitum.
