I have a 4m (length) x 4.5m (width) room. Distance from the seated position to the TV is roughly 2.5 - 3m.

The AV receiver will likely be either the (1) Denon AVR-X3500H or (2) Marantz SR5013. They both produce 100w @ 8 ohm, (20 Hz - 20 kHz, 0.08% 2ch Drive). I am unsure what the term '2ch Drive' refers to, do they only produce that power when driven 2 channels, less for all 7 channels?

I am considering either the Legend Joey or Kurre for my mains. Kurlo or Kurlette for the sub.

I am concerned that the Kurres will:
      (1) Lack current (as have been mentioned in other threads) with the AV amp
      (2) Introduce an overabundance of low end for my smallish room

The concern with the Joey is that it will not get loud enough for home theater duties.

Can anyone familiar with the Legends share your thoughts and advice, thank you.

      Item: Legend Acoustics Kantu 8i
      Location: Sydney
Price: $3000.00 plus shipping costs with insurance - FIRM.
Item Condition: Excellent (one tiny issue - see below)
Reason for selling: Raising funds for two way speakers
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, COD Only
Extra Info: Purchased August 2016 – much prefer pickup.

      Demonstration available.

Purchased new by me in August 2016 direct from Legend Acoustics.  Complete with manuals, plinth spikes and original packaging.

These have performed flawlessly since new.  These speakers are deadly accurate and they image as well as a bookshelf.  Bass response is tremendous, controlled and dynamic.

The speakers are as new with no marks on the veneer at all.  The veneer has been cleaned a couple of times with Mirotone’s Spray Glow to preserve and protect it.  (I use this on all my speakers).  The veneer has always been protected from sunlight coming into the room so they haven’t faded at all.

Minor issue: one of the plastic tips on the ‘spider’ (about a three millimetre piece), in front of the tweeter, snapped off when I stupidly tried to dust the front baffle.  I glued it back on fairly successfully and there is no damage to the actual tweeter so performance is totally unaffected.  Certainly wouldn’t see it from the listening position with the grill off (see photos).

Any colour differences in the veneer between the speakers are because the left speaker was right next to the window when photographed, so had more natural light.

IsoAcoustics' isolation footers shown in the photos have been sold.

May consider a straight swap with a late model aluminium ME850 power amplifier. However, it must be in excellent cosmetic and electronic condition - meaning, unmolested, unmodified by idiots that think they can improve it. It would be good if it had a recent check or service to keep it in tip top condition.

Removed IsoAcoustics' isolation footers from sale - will try and use them on something else, failing that they will be sold separately.

Item: EOI – Legend Acoustics Kantu 8i
      Location: Sydney
Price: $3500.00 plus shipping costs with insurance - FIRM
Item Condition: Excellent (one tiny issue - see below)
Reason for selling: Raising funds for something different
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, COD Only
Extra Info: Purchased August 2016 – much prefer pickup.

      Demonstration available.

These have performed flawlessly since new.  These speakers are deadly accurate and they image as well as a ‘high end’ bookshelf.  Bass response is tremendous, controlled and dynamic.  IMO, it would be hard to find an equal at the price advertised.

The plinths currently have Isoacoustics’ Gaia III Isolation Footers attached in place of the original screw in spikes.  The Gaia’s are not included in the sale, as they will be repurposed.  In addition, the speaker cable and the disks under the spikes shown in older photos not included.

Please note that this is an EOI only at this stage so I can gauge interest.  I’m not entirely sure that I do wish to sell them as yet.  Should I decide yes, I’ll only be committed to selling if there is a confirmed buyer for this and my SACD player that is listed separately.

I reserve the right to withdraw the sale at any time should I choose to.
