blacktopspirit
I recently acquired a MX-35 power amp to hook up some presence speakers to my RX-V3900 HT amp, problem is, the RX won't let me select "front presence" and I can't figure out why. I'm using the latest firmware, and I've selected multiple "Cinema DSP" options to hopefully enable the feature, but nothing I do allows me to select the presence speakers to on. checked the trouble shooting on the manual and it only gives 2 reasons, "This unit is in the "straight" mode" and "you are using a source or program the does not output sound from all channels" I've covered both of these. Is there something I'm missing?
leewood
Reset the whole amp. and start again. The instruction manual will tell you how. Front presence speakers are a bit of waste of time anyhow.

blacktopspirit
*Sigh... I was hoping to avoid resetting the amp, because I'd have to re-learn everything to set it up again lol. They should do the trick for me (if I can get them working) my house is open plan, so I have a front and back wall, but no side walls, so a lot of sound is lost, setting the presence speakers outside facing in with the separate power amp to control volume I'm hoping to gain some of those lost sounds back. blacktopspirit
Figured it out... I can't run Bi Amped speakers and presence speakers together, it's one of the other, but not both. This sucks.
