Benchmark dual mono pre amp. Melbourne Made

Recommended Posts

Benchmark audio

Made in Melbourne.

The power amps were very good and go really cheap 2nd hand. I sold one early this year and regretted it.

the pre is very simple. fully dual mono 15v power supply, op amp per channel and a few bits. each channel has its own selector switch and volume pot

very simple and sounds very dynamic. Not a fan of the 2 volume pots.

Interesting... Starting to see Naksa and Saksa amps everywhere now I'm aware of them :)

The only truly frustrating feature of my Redgum amps is the dual volume pots...

Keep the nostalgia rolling along, misternavi!

I stopped using it. i couldn't take the dual mono pots any longer (mainly wife just didn't get how to adjust the volume with two hands).

The Redgum volume pots are next to each other

An elastic band is the only solution

The ones on your Benchmark preamp are too far apart to try this option...
