Set Up Microphone for Marantz AV

Recommended Posts

I have been given a lovely Marantz AV receiver Model NR1402, but it came without the Set Up Microphone  ( ACM1H) . I am not sure if the mike is a general one for all Marantz models or specific to this model , but if anyone has one that they could loan to me for a few weeks, please send me a PM.

Any postage will be covered of course.

Billy.

PS - it is Audyssey enabled.

@Zen Mister

I have a Marantz 8801 where the manual states the mic is a ACM1HB.  Would this work?  (I'm hoping the B stands for black version???)

Update:  Hmmm, seems they can't be interchanged -

Thanks for that feedback. I sent a query to the link. Not sure if I should expect a reply.

Will also try Marantz themselves if they are still in Melbourne.

Billy.

No worries Billy, if the ACM1HB does work then let me know and we'll get you sorted out.

I sent Audyssey an email, and this is their reply -

Yes, the ACM1H and ACM1HB are compatible.

Kind Regards,

Hi,

I have a Marantz AVR NR1402 without a set-up mic ACM1H, but I can borrow an Audyssey ACM1HB from a friend. Will this work as intended?

@Zen Mister   PM me if you'd like to borrow the mic.
