Mine does it too. Probably every 5th time we use the tv. Not using the optical cable and only using HDMI helped a bit. 

 

A bigger issue for me is the tv not outputting any audio when changing between tv mode and Netflix occasionally. Needs restarting tv to get audio going. I spoke to the Panasonic rep who acknowledged he knew of these issues. 

 

Tv is ok. I kinda wished I bought the Sony tbh.
