Anthem AV Owners Thread

Recommended Posts

Hallelujahs hallelujah ad infinitum.

I got it to work! On both my mrx 700 and mrx 300!

I bought a serial cable from Altronics ($9).

Updated the amps firmware via said cable.

Downloaded most recent Arc 1 software.

Windows 10 recognised and installed the microphone.

Only hiccup was me ignoring the microphone calibration file.

When I finally located the microphone calibration file and put it in the Anthem folder - hey presto.

So Brisbane, Gents, it can be done! I’m happy to assist or lend out any of the equipment I used.

And a big Thankyou Snoopy8 Sensei.

Hi guys, I may move from Denon to Anthem in the future for my next AVR (MRX-720 most likely).

Can it be configured for Atmos top middle only position in a 5.2.2 or 7.2.2?

Item: Anthem MRX510 7.1 channel AVR
Location: Melbourne South East (can post)
      Price: $1100 (ONO)
Item Condition: 9/10 has lived in the AV cabinet all its life
Reason for selling: rasing funds for 2 channel system upgrade
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info: Have had this for a couple of years works flawlessly and is one of the best sounding receivers on the market.
Unlike it's successor the 520 this uses a triodial transformer and has 7 channels of amplification (new one is only 5)
Will do 4K passthrough and has all the usual formats trueHD DTS Master.
Includes the ARC room measurement kit which is a revelation when it comes to room correction, I've had adesyey based receivers in the past and they don't come close to what ARC does for room calibration. It is on par with Dirac Live.

Comes with all accessories remote and original box

      Item: Audio Research DS-450
      Location: Perth
      Price: $7500
      Item Condition: excellent
      Reason for selling: trying something
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info: I'm the first owner; bought this from a dealer a few months ago. Can provide receipt. I upgraded from Parasound JC-1 monoblocks and the DS-450 is more punchy and a lot faster than JC1. Amazing amp. Current model still selling now for AU$13495 http://www.synergyaudio.com/Audio-Research/Amplifiers/147/catmenu.aspx   Absolute Sond review: http://www.absolutesounds.com/pdf/main/press/ARC DS450 HFC1010web.pdf   Here are some actual user's reviews: "I purchased the DS450 (along with the LS27) about 6 weeks ago. Did extensive listening including McIntosh and Ayre. Found the transparency, musicality and soundstage on the DS better to my liking. The McIntosh had a deeper bottom end - but not by much. I'm driving a pair of Revel Salon 2s with the DS450 and I'm very happy with the results so far" -  Ritrmo from Audiogon
