McDigital
G'day, Round 3 is coming, and guess what? The newspapers have caught on that certain games in W.A. and S.A. are to be delayed. 6 games for each state (3 per team) to be exact. The stupid thing is, it's in the contract that this affects the local teams of each state only, and they seem to be purposely delaying AWAY games. Seriously.....who thought of that? Is this going to happen for 5 years? It's not good enough, especially when home games used to be delayed and Away games were always Live. Look out W.A. this weekend Friday Night: Sydney v Collingwood - First Bounce: 7:50pm AEST Played At: SCG, Sydney LIVE To: Tasmania including Hobart at 7:30pm on Southern Cross N.T. including Darwin at 7pm on Southern Cross Victoria including Melbourne at 7:30pm on Seven and Prime S.A. including Adelaide at 7pm on Seven and Southern Cross GTS/BKN W.A. including Perth at 5:30pm on 7mate A.C.T. and N.S.W. including Sydney at 7:30pm on 7mate Qld including Brisbane at 7:30pm on 7mate Nationwide at 7:30pm AEDST on Fox Footy and HD (7pm ACST - 5:30pm AWST) Saturday: Nth. alanh
With SBS now having a pair of MPEG-4 HD channels what will the TVW7 Perth, GWN7 WA do with the AFL. Since the Rio Olympics TVW has been transmitting a simulcast of 7 and 70 HD including the news in HD. The pre-seasons games are in SD on channel 7Mate channel 73. Since the contract with the AFL requires HD and the 7 News rates higher will they follow SBS's lead??? PC9 and Soap. Please remember that Prime7/GWN7 are owned by Prime Media and that 7Qld is fully owned by the 7 Network like the rest of the mainland State Capital City's 7. I expect that 720p is not likely as they didn't use it in 7 metro's. Alanh

McDigital
G'day, We have a weird one, Round 5 presents 5 FTA games by Seven this week, but the Monday night game is on 7mate Nationwide. So, wouldn't this be in conflict with the HD rules in their contract? Of course, those in Melbourne and Adelaide DO NOT have 7mate in HD, but it looks like regional viewers do (so they're pretty fortunate in this one). This week, 5 matches in Victoria, Tasmania, Darwin, South Australia, Western Australia, NSW, ACT and Qld - so who gets 6 matches? Regional N.T. Friday Night: Pt.
