This Denon has only been used once a week for movies and ps3 gaming in different room set ups so it works great no matter what style room you have. As a 5.1 or 7.1 sound system in my t.v. room (3m x 3m room) to a 9.2 system in my full HT room set up (7m x 4m room ( 9 speakers... Aaron 6 ohm ATS-5 fronts and CC-240 centre, with 6x Klipsch 8 ohm ref-3 side/rears) + 2 15" subs . Many different speaker sets can be used. This is a rare avr in that it can handle 4 side surround speakers, great for any size room or a room with multiple seating, add a $4 subwoofer splitter and you can use 2 subs easy.
