DRC
Halco might have been a good option too. Aussie made. The MC range pop up here and on eBay. A very clean and dynamic amp but I find they need a good hour warm up time. The SimonNo10's Krell TAS would have been an outstanding amp choice. I had a high end 5.1 system that was pretty much all Krell (a pair of Spendor S9e's at the rear being the only departure). The descent of Serenity at the opening of the film was clean, crisp and visceral.
Serpeant
I just cranked a emotiva xpa-5 setup and for the money, i was very impressed. I then listened to the same setup on an Anthem 225 and honestly, there was not much in it. For the money, emotiva! For the record, im no audiophile... I'm looking at getting another power amp to power my rear speakers. For the record I love my Elektra power amp but I think buying another for the rear speakers and future ceiling speakers could be a overkill.
